In the next several years, they released a sequel and an expansion that made the series as a whole a financial success for the company. Thomas Grip and Jens Nilsson launched Frictional Games on Januand by March released their first title, Penumbra: Overture. Frictional Games is known for creating creepy atmospheric games that leave the player feeling helpless against the untold horrors thrown at them.
The company hasn't released a new game since 2015's Soma. Frictional Games, the studio behind Amnesia: The Dark Descent and Soma, appear to be teasing a new project on their website.
